Amanda graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium in cello performance under Mei-Lee and Markus Stocker in 2011. Following her dream of creating a professional teaching environment for music teachers who share the same passion, she founded Music Creators, a music learning centre in Calamvale in 2012. Music Creators has grown gradually over the past 4 years and now has a team of 16 teachers. A second branch has recently been opened in Underwood, with retail and online services providing the local music community with a new platform to source music books and instruments. Amanda has also gained extensive business planning and communication experience working for her family business.
Turning Your Music Passion into a Business
Amanda and Sharon will share their experience in setting up a successful music teaching business with a balance between artistry and enterprise. Their session will cover business planning, marketing, finance, setting up a teaching studio, building networks, creating opportunities and sustaining a stable and rewarding career as well as a full review of taxation. They will also explore new career paths, income streams, and business models that are transforming the profession.
